The project is funded by the Northern Arabian Sea Circulation Autonomously Researched (NASCar) Initiative of the Office of Naval Research (ONR). Researchers from the University of Notre Dame Environmental Fluid Dynamics Group (EFD), the Office of Naval Research (ONR), National Aquatic Resources Research and Development Agency (NARA), and Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) are all working on this project in Seychelles, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and the United States.
