Has developing an online Atlas of Climatology for Sri Lanka and an
Information System for the Mahaweli Project in collaboration with web

Heli Bulathsinhala, Research Assistant, Completed M.Sc in Water Resources at the
University of Moratuwa. Holds a B.Sc degree in 2nd (Upper) Class in
Civil Engineering from the University of Moratuwa. Collects climate, hydro-climatic and
hydro-electricity data, carries out data analysis, quality control,
climate impacts assessments and hydro-meteorological work. Working
towards a hydro-climatic prediction system for the Mahaweli. |

Kusalika Ariyarathane, Research Assistant, Completed M.Sc candidate in Oceanography at the Post Graduate Institute of Science, University of Peradeniya. Holds a First Class B.Sc (Eng.) degree from the University of Peradeniya. Collects climate, maritime and plantation
data. Carries out data analysis, quality control, climate impact
assessments and studies on air-sea interactions around Sri Lanka with a
focus on Sri Lankan Climate and Indian Ocean Influences |

Zeenas Yahiya, Project Manager, Obtained a B.A in Social Sciences at the Open University of Sri Lanka. .Has 4 years of experience in scientific documentation at the Institute of Fundamental Studies, Kandy. Helps prepare papers, articles and reports for publication, coordinates between NRMS management and IRI regarding administrative work and accounting, has brought "Bibliography of Climate in Sri Lanka" to publication. |

Served on Governing councils of University of Peradeniya, Central Agricultural Research Policy. B.Sc and M.Sc in Agriculture from the University of Peradeniya. Mr. Rajakaruna manages the work of the IRI
project and oversees the project staff members, the office and
infrastructure requirements, the purchasing of equipment and personnel
issues. He helps liaise with the Mahaweli Authority of Sri Lanka, in
particular with the Environment and Forest Conservation Division. |
